The first aisle runner this weekend was for Kate and Mark. They requested Monogram B-3 with a slight font change just for the "K" and the "M" in their names. It is in watermelon pink and black. Congratulations, Kate and Mark! Next, we have Melissa and Daniel. Melissa requested Monogram B-12 in blush pink and black on her extra long 125' runner. Congratulations, Melissa! Lastly, we have LaShundra and Lorrel. LaShundra showed me her invitations for some inspiration, so we ended up doing Monogram B-12 with some font changes for the name and date to match her modern invitations. The "M" is olive green with a coating a silver glitter overlay, with the names and the date in an eggplant purple. Congratulations, LaShundra!

Shaina and Dwayne are getting married this week! Shaina placed a rush order and wanted Monogram B-12 in Tiffany blue and gold. Congratulations, Shaina! Adaeze provided her own monogram with their own initials and wedding date. The monogram was painted in champagne and a soft pink for their 9.10.11 wedding. Congratulations, Adaeze!
This past week was finals week at graduate school, which means two things... the Spring semester is a wrap for me, and I didn't feel compelled to study or do homework this weekend! I've only got a one week window of time off from school before summer classes start though. I did take a little bit of time this weekend and had a wonderful date night with the hubby which involved going out for wings (at Quaker Steak and Lube for those of you lucky enough to have one in your area) and going to see Fast Five. It's a great movie! Be sure to stick around after the credits for another scene! Now onto the aisle runners I worked on this weekend... First, we have Danielle and Joseph. They wanted an all black runner with the phrase "Today I Marry My Best Friend." They also wanted everything to be in a cursive script... I love what we came up with! Next, we have a monogram for ANOTHER Danielle! This one, again, was in all black. Danielle requested to keep it simple... just an "M" for the primary initial, the date, and black flourish underneath. Last, but definitely not least, we have Carmen and Mark. Carmen is having a destination wedding in New York City next month and wanted to incorporate that into her aisle runner. She also wanted a simple, cursive "L", and a modern font for their names and date. I love the final product!
It's no secret that pink is my favorite color, so I absolutely LOVED painting Jenn and Mike's runner. They had a white runner with Monogram B-1 in light pink and black, but requested that the names be in cursive and the date be spelled out. This runner will be on it's way to Canada tomorrow! Congrats, Jenn! This will be the only runner update for this weekend... I'd love to have painted more, but this upcoming week is finals week in grad school, and it's demanding quite a bit of my time and attention! UPDATE: Here's a photo of the aisle runner in action on the day of adorned with flower petals down each side of the runner! How gorgeous!
Yesterday, I worked on Keith and Desirée's aisle runner... they are another one of the lucky couples that was able to snag the 11.11.11 wedding date! They requested Monogram U-2, which is one of my favorites... I hadn't done one of these in a couple months due to the seasonality of it, but I'm hoping that many more will come here in the next few months for the fall weddings coming up! I can also do this design with different colors (see below Desirée's) to work with different color schemes or different seasons... just ask! This morning, I finished up Jennifer and David's white aisle runner with a green and black monogram for their wedding here in three weeks. Jennifer wanted a design with all of the names, initial, and date in a serif font, and I love the end result! Congratulations, Jennifer and David!! Lastly, Joanna requested Monogram B-12 on their white aisle runner with the "O" in a deep purple and their names and date in black for their August wedding. This order will be on it's way to Canada tomorrow! Congratulations, Joanna!
Lena placed an order on Monday for an aisle runner for her wedding... on April 30th! In Hawaii! We quickly worked on the details of the rush order, and I am so proud to be able to be shipping her runner out tomorrow. She had a canary yellow and chocolate brown monogram on an ivory runner with the quote "And The Two Will Become One." Mahalo Nui, Lena!!
So that's two rush orders for April 30th within the last week! Any other April 30th weddings? LAST CALL! =) Daphne contacted me earlier this week for a rush order for her wedding next week! I was happy to be able to help and loved the end result... an eye-catching aqua and dark gray monogrammed runner. Her fiancée is in the Army and will be deploying the week after the wedding... thank you, Seth, for serving our country! Then we have Monika, who requested Monogram B-1 with the "S" in a bright, island blue and their names and date in black. Congratulations, Monika!
Holly and Mark are getting married on May 7th, and their wedding planner contacted me earlier this week to see if there was any way I could get a custom aisle runner to them in time... to Canada! They placed a rush order, and I went ahead and worked on the runner today, and it will be on it's way to Canada tomorrow with plenty of time to spare before the wedding! Their aisle runner is with Monogram B-1 in fuchsia and black.
I love working with my brides in Canada! Just remember that it will take 6-10 business days for the runner to ship and clear customs with USPS Priority shipping! =) I am so thrilled to announce Custom Aisle Boutique's first ever giveaway! You could win one of my custom, hand-painted aisle runners for FREE! Please visit Aria Images Photography's blog post to find out how to enter to win one of my custom aisle runners.
There are five different ways you can enter, and each counts for one entry! The winner will be selected on April 15th! Good luck! My first aisle runner this weekend was for Naomi, who is one of the lucky brides who snatched up a 11.11.11 wedding date. She requested Monogram B-12 with the "A" in eggplant, their names in charcoal, and their wedding date in hot pink. Congratulations, Naomi! My second aisle runner this weekend was for Pamela & Aris. This order was actually placed by Pamela's cousin, Eugenia, who had actually purchased a custom aisle runner for her own wedding last year (see below Pamela's). Eugenia said that her cousin loved her aisle runner so much that she asked her to order one for her own wedding this June! So we went ahead and created one with Monogram B-5 in orchid and black. Congratulations, Pamela, and thank you for repeat business, Eugenia! I love that wedding guests appreciate the custom aisle runners as much as the bride does. |
